WL&P seeks out projects, many of which are suggested by our employees, by which we are able to work with and support community organizations. Our efforts include a multi-year relationship with Miriam’s Kitchen, a neighborhood program that provides meals and social services to the homeless, as well as participation with the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and the Capital Area Food Bank. The partners have also encouraged employee donations to worthy causes by matching employee contributions to relief organizations such as following the Indonesian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.
