Intellectual Property Law, Washington DC

Our History

Traditional values and modern legal practices have been the keys to WL&P's success for over 85 years.

E. F. Wenderoth

Our founder, E.F. Wenderoth, opened a small patent law office in Washington, D.C. in 1921. He built his business on a tradition of quality, personal service, and competitive fees. Through world wars and radical changes in technology and the intellectual property field, Wenderoth, Lind & Ponack, L.L.P. has successfully served its clients for more than 85 years.

Beginning with just four attorneys and four support staff members, WL&P has grown to include 18 patent attorneys and agents in a total staff of more than 40. We have grown in number of staff and in scope of services offered to keep pace with the innovations of our clients and the requirements of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Even as our core business values remain unchanged, we have proven  our ability to adapt to changes and modifications in law, best practices, business models, international agreements and shifts in the global marketplace.
